Privacy Policy

Summary

HelpMeProtest is built to need as little of your information as possible. You can search public property records and generate an evidence packet without creating an account and without providing personal information. We do not sell your data.

Information we collect

Property data

Property and appraisal information shown is public record from the relevant county appraisal district (see Counties & data sources). Searching for an address does not associate that address with you.

Cookies

We use a small number of strictly necessary cookies to operate the Service (for example, a temporary cookie used during our private preview). We do not use cookies to build advertising profiles of you.

How we use information

We use the limited information above only to provide, secure, maintain, and improve the Service, and to comply with law. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share your searches with any appraisal district or taxing authority.

Service providers

We rely on infrastructure providers (such as hosting and a content-delivery/security network) that process technical request data on our behalf to deliver the Service. If we add optional accounts or paid features in the future, this policy will be updated to describe any additional data collected (including payment processing handled by a third-party processor).

Data security & retention

We take reasonable measures to protect the Service. Because we collect minimal data and do not store your questionnaire answers, there is little personal information to retain. Standard server logs are kept only as long as reasonably needed to operate and secure the Service.

Children's privacy

The Service is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Your choices

You can use the Service without providing personal information and can clear cookies in your browser at any time.

Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above.
